After rumors of Tesla, Inc’s TSLA Hardware 4 (HW4) self-driving hardware upgrades, it seems the company has started delivering vehicles with the new hardware without any fanfare. The leaks showed a more powerful computer board, more connections for additional cameras, an updated GPS module, and the hint at a return to radar.

Now, a Tesla customer’s Reddit post has shared that their new Model X came with the upgraded HW4 cameras. The new owner shared several pictures of the hardware, showing the cameras in the same positions as before, but with a seemingly larger lens. Tesla’s sentry mode feature, which allows the car to record its surroundings while the owner is away, also saves higher quality videos than before. Additionally, the sales team at Tesla said this vehicle comes equipped with radar.

But not everything is working well right now. The poster said that their vehicle only displays lane lines, and doesn’t seem to track other cars, stop lights, traffic cones, and other objects in the road like older Hardware 3 cars are capable of doing. Autopilot, Tesla’s autonomous driver assistance system, also does not yet work on the vehicle. It is expected Tesla will add these features with a future software update.
